What is R+R

We understand R+R to mean the repair of used bearings and the modification / customisation / testing of standard bearings. The possibilities offered by state-of-the-art manufacturing processes are manifold.

Modifications / adjustments / tests:

  • Adjustment of the internal clearance in C2/C3/C4/C5 (R801/R811/R821/R841/R851/R861)
  • Production of conical bores from cylindrical bearings
  • Turning of circumferential grooves (N / NR/ R802/ R812/ R822/ R842/ R852/ R862/ R892)
  • Production of holding notches (N1/ N2 / R803 / R813/ R823/ R833/ R843/ R853/ R863/ R873) and combined grooves and notches (N3/ N4/ N5/ N6/ N3R/ N4R/ N5R/ N6R)
  • Production of lubrication holes (S1 / W26 / R806 / R816 / R826 / R836 / R846/ R856/ R866/ R896)
  • Production of lubrication channels, circumferential or spiral
  • Pairing of tapered roller bearings (X/O/T / R834)
  • Pairing of angular contact ball bearings (X/O/T/ R844/ R854 / R864 / R874)
  • Pairing / matching of other bearings (R804/ R824)
  • Measuring / testing / certification
  • Check for cracks and inclusions

Repair:

It can make sense to recondition used types, especially for medium-sized and larger rolling bearings. Special bearings that are no longer manufactured are also frequently repaired.

Such repairs may include:

  • Cleaning
  • Inspection
  • Grinding / polishing the raceways
  • Replacement of cages / rolling elements
  • Surveying
  • Regreasing
